Challenge
Designing Steering Systems for the Future of E-Mobility
Our challenge was to design steering solutions that enhance the performance of both hybrid and fully electric commercial vehicles, while also reducing driver fatigue. As commercial vehicles become more automated and connected, the need for precise motion control is critical. ZF required advanced systems that could seamlessly integrate into both conventional and electrified vehicle architectures, supporting automation, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and sustainability initiatives.
The result
Smarter, Safer, and More Efficient Steering Solutions
Our collaboration led to the advancement of ZF’s ReAX steering system, which dynamically adapts to vehicle inputs to deliver smoother, more precise steering and improved stability. This technology reduces driver workload and supports enhanced vehicle control across a variety of driving conditions.
We also contributed to the development of ZF’s Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems, designed to deliver fuel savings and enable automation features in both hybrid and electric commercial vehicles. Together, these innovations strengthen ZF’s position as a leader in sustainable and connected commercial transport—delivering intelligent steering solutions that drive the future of mobility.
